Here at Woodham Walter Academy pupils are expected to be smart at all times, wear their uniform with pride, and remember that they are ambassadors for the school. School uniforms play a key role in promoting pride, self-confidence, and a feeling of belonging within the student body. These factors contribute to children's well-being, removing the additional pressures of deciding what to wear and added stress of meeting the expectations of their peers.
We request that parents/carers do their utmost to avoid placing their child in a compromising position by ignoring the dress code.
Our school uniform requirements:
At Woodham Walter Primary Academy we believe that wearing a school uniform fosters a
sense of pride, self-confidence, and belonging within our school community.
Parents are asked to ensure that all items of clothing and personal belongings are clearly
labelled with their child’s name.
Winter & Spring Terms
Reception – Year 4: White polo shirt (school logo optional)
Years 5 & 6: White shirt with school tie
Bottle Green V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan (school logo optional) — no hoodies or
zip-up tops
Charcoal grey school trousers or shorts
Knee-length charcoal grey skirt or pinafore dress
White or grey socks, or grey tights
Sensible black shoes (no heels, boots, or open-toe shoes). Black school shoe/trainer hybrids are acceptable, provided they are completely black (no coloured or white logos).
Summer Term
Bottle Green gingham summer dress
Reception – Year 4: White polo shirt (school logo optional)
Years 5 &; 6: White shirt with school tie
Bottle Green V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan (school logo optional) — no hoodies or
zip-up tops
Charcoal grey school trousers or shorts
Knee-length charcoal grey skirt or pinafore dress

Sensible black shoes (as outlined above)
Book Bags
EYFS & KS1: Bottle Green book bag (school logo optional).
Physical Education (PE)
Children are expected to wear their PE Uniform to school on days they have timetabled PE. We expect them to wear their school jumper/cardigan or fleece whilst walking to school. A coat can be worn should the weather suffice.
Plain white round-neck or polo t-shirt
Black traditional shorts (not cycle shorts)
Black tracksuit (for colder weather)
Trainers
White socks
All items of uniform and PE kit MUST be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Uniform Ordering
Uniform Ordering
There is no requirement to purchase uniform through a specific supplier or to purchase clothing with a school logo. Parents may wish to purchase uniform at high street retail stores. However, we do have system for ordering uniform on-line. To order and pay for school uniform online visit: -
Simply go to the website address, then select ‘Find My School’ and enter the postcode (CM9 6RF) then follow the order instructions.
